Mr. Naji Mohammed Issa, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, announced the launch of Libya\u2019s National Financial Inclusion Strategy 2025\u20132029, affirming that it reflects a national, ethical, and professional commitment to all segments of society.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Governor emphasized that the strategy, developed by the Central Bank with national expertise, aims to provide safe, affordable, and easily accessible financial services, with strict protection of personal data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also announced the launch of a set of major accompanying projects, most notably:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A Financial Inclusion Accounts Project targeting financially excluded groups;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Banking Data Protection System to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of individuals' information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support for the country\u2019s digital transformation through full digitization of government payments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Localization of the foreign currency payments infrastructure under the supervision of the Central Bank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of a legal and technical framework for the use of digital and crypto currencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Launch of a Digital Banking Identity to facilitate electronic transactions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provision of domestic money transfers via a national platform without requiring a bank account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Governor concluded his speech by affirming that these initiatives pave the way for a modern digital economy that is more equitable and inclusive, while also enhancing financial stability and development in Libya.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During his speech at the opening of the first edition of the Electronic Payment Forum and Exhibition, H.E.
