Naji Mohammed Issa, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, held a meeting, on Monday, October 27, 2025, with Mr. Abdelbaset Al-Baour, Chairman of the General Communications Authority, in the presence of representatives from the Telecommunications Holding Company, Libyana, Al-Madar, and Libya Telecom & Technology, as well as relevant departments of the Central Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting addressed areas of cooperation between the telecommunications and banking sectors, and the role of this partnership in developing electronic payment services and enhancing the digital transformation infrastructure in the banking sector, contributing to improved service quality and broader financial inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was also agreed to establish a joint working team between the telecommunications and banking sectors to monitor and address challenges related to the infrastructure of commercial banks and electronic payment companies, and to develop them in support of the Central Bank of Libya\u2019s financial inclusion strategy, ensuring the continuity of banking services without interruptions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of efforts to strengthen joint cooperation among national sectors supporting digital transformation, H.E.
