Naji Mohammed Issa, held a meeting, with the President of the Audit Bureau, Mr. Khaled Shakshak, to discuss the procedures for approving the budgets of the Central Bank and Libyan commercial banks, as well as to review a number of oversight and financial files related to enhancing the performance of the banking sector in a manner that ensures greater transparency and improves the level of financial disclosure on Wednesday, 19 November 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The discussions also covered the review of public spending controls, the continued rise in public expenditure and its impact on the Central Bank of Libya\u2019s ability to maintain exchange rate stability, in addition to the importance of establishing a unified general framework for public spending that supports financial sustainability and monetary stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting further addressed the measures taken by the Central Bank as part of its financial inclusion strategy, digital transformation efforts, expansion of electronic payment services, development of currency exchange activities, and reduction of the parallel market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both parties agreed to maintain ongoing joint coordination to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and to strengthen financial discipline across all banking institutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, H.E.
