Naji Issa, participated on Monday, 6 July 2026, in the National Dialogue organized by the Ministry of Housing and Construction under the theme &#8220;The Role of the Banking Sector in Revitalizing Housing Projects and Urban Development.&#8221; The event was attended by the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Eng. Abdulhamid Dbeibah, the Minister of Housing and Construction, several ministers, as well as representatives of banks, financial institutions, investors, and experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The dialogue explored ways to develop Libya\u2019s mortgage finance system and address the challenges facing the housing sector, with the aim of strengthening public-private partnerships, supporting urban development, and advancing sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his remarks, the Governor emphasized that the Central Bank views housing finance as one of the key drivers of economic growth, given its role in stimulating the construction sector, creating employment opportunities, and improving citizens\u2019 quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further noted that advancing the mortgage finance system requires close coordination among legislative, executive, and regulatory authorities, as well as banks, financial institutions, and the private sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Governor also commended the Ministry of Housing and Construction for organizing the dialogue, expressing confidence that its outcomes would lead to practical and actionable recommendations that support Libya\u2019s reconstruction efforts and promote sustainable economic and urban development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, H.E.
