H.E Mr. Saddek Omar ElKaber, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, received Ms. Georgette Gagnon, Special Deputy Representative of the General Secretary of UN to Libya and a Coordinator of Humanitarian Affairs, in Thursday February 2/1/2024. Ms. Gagnon spoke about the repeated visits to Derna and neighboring areas, which she was conducted in order to find out the extent of the damage and ways to help finance reconstructions. The meeting also touched on the role of well-known humanitarian and charitable societies and facilitating their procedures with the Libyan commercial banks in accordance with the excited regulations.
