H.E Mr. Saddek Omar ElKaber, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, with the participation of Mr. Maree Al-Barasi, the Deputy Governor, held a meeting in his office on Monday, December 18, 2023, the meeting included discussions with bank directors and advisors, the agenda of the meeting covered the following of 2023 public budget expenditure and revenue, preparations for the 2024 budget, and a review of foreign exchange usage to achieve the vision of the Central Bank of Libya in maintaining the financial sustainability,the meeting also addressed various topics related to the development of banking sector, updates on electronic payment systems, and the consideration of developing data and reports issued by the CBL regarding achieving higher disclosure and transparency.
