H.E Mr. Saddek Omar ElKaber, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, meets with Gianluca Alberini the Ambassador of Italy to libya in, January 7th , 2024, in attandance of the Economic Adviser at the Embassy, the representative of the Italian Financial Police, and the directors of the Libyan Financial Information Unit and the Compliance Unit at the Central Bank of Libya.
The meeting discussed the importance of cooperation in the field of money laundering and terrorist financing, the risks and challenges that Libya is going through in this regard, and the possibility of benefiting from the experiences of the Italian side in developing and supporting the capabilities of the Bank of Libya in cooperation with the Italian Financial Police Academy.
