H.E Mr. Saddek Omar ElKaber, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, participated in a high-level meeting of the African Consultative Group at (IMF) in Washington on Tuesday 16th of April , 2024 .The meeting was attended by the IMF’s Managing Director, Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, and central bank governors from across the African continent. During the meeting, they discussed frameworks for strengthening public finances and development in Africa, besides strategies to address the complex crises in the global economy and the African continent. The discussions also covered measures related to climate change, enhancing the regulatory framework for digital technology, and the role of the IMF in strengthening partnerships with African countries and supporting comprehensive reform measures.
