H.E Mr. Saddek Omar ElKaber, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya met with Mr. Joshua Harris, Deputy Secretary of State, and Mr. Richard Norland, U.S. Special Envoy to Libya, in USA Washington, on Thursday,18th of April 2024, during the meeting they discussed enhancing cooperation and coordination between the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Embassy, and the Central Bank of Libya. They also addressed supporting transparent, unified, and effective management of oil and public resources, as well as the Central Bank’s efforts in unification and maintaining the financial sustainability of the state. Additionally, they emphasized the importance of an independent and effective monetary policy that supports exchange rates and continued support for the capacities of the Central Bank of Libya’s administrations through development programs provided by the U.S. Agency for International Development.
