Discussion of recent developments regarding the Central Bank and the increasing threats to the security of the Central Bank, the safety of its employees, and its systems, during a meeting between H.E. Mr. Saddek Omar ElKaber, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, and Mr. Richard Norland, the U.S. Special Envoy to Libya, on Monday, 12th of August 2024, in Tunisia. The Special Envoy affirmed his country’s full support for the Central Bank of Libya in facing these threats and maintaining the stability of the Central Bank to ensure it can fulfil its designated role effectively.
