Central Bank of Libya announces evolution of instant payment services statistics

In implementation of the Central Bank of Libya's strategy to promote financial inclusion, and in line with the e-payment services development plan adopted by the Board of Directors at its first meeting. The Central Bank announces the latest statistics for instant payment services: LYPay and OnePay, which were recently launched.
The Central Bank of Libya asserts that it will continue to gradually raise the transfer and purchase ceiling through instant payment services.

Statistics for LayPay and OnePay from 22/09/2024 to 20/11/2024 are as follows:

LYPay Instant Payment Service:

  • Number of subscribers – Individuals: 834,814
  • Number of subscribers – Merchants: 4,511
  • Value of transactions (Purchases + Transfers): 46,972,954.602
  • Number of transactions (Purchases + Transfers): 56,797

One Pay Instant Payment Service:

  • Active merchants: 3,517
  • Beneficiary accounts: 119,941
  • Total POS: 21,769
  • Number of transactions: 171,149
  • Value of transactions: 402,582,580 LYD

Share:
