The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Dr. Fauzi Abokhzam, met today, Tuesday, 3 November 2026, with the President of the Presidential Council, Dr. Mohamed Al-Menfi. The meeting addressed developments in the country’s economic and financial landscape, as well as related matters requiring coordination among the relevant institutions.

The two sides also reviewed several issues concerning fiscal and monetary policies, the performance of the banking sector, and ongoing efforts to maintain financial and monetary stability amid the current economic challenges.

The meeting further emphasized the importance of continued consultations on priority economic matters and strengthening institutional coordination in a manner that supports the efficient management of public resources, safeguards economic stability, and creates a conducive environment for advancing reform and development efforts.
