A telephone conversation between Governor of the Central Bank of Libya and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Libya.

The increasing threats to the security and safety of the Central Bank of Libya, its employees, and its systems, in addition to the necessity of maintaining the bank’s stability and independence, and its continued role in preserving the financial sustainability of the state, were the main topics discussed during a telephone conversation between H.E. Mr. Saddek Omar ElKaber, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, and Dr. Martin Longden, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Libya, on Monday,19th of August, 2024. The British Ambassador expressed the United Kingdom’s full support for the Central Bank of Libya in its prominent role in maintaining financial and economic stability and safeguarding the country’s resources over the past years.
