The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, H.E. Naji Issa, met at his office on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, with the Minister of Transport and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Salem Al-Shahoubi, to discuss a number of key economic and financial issues.

The meeting focused on public expenditure within the framework of the Unified Financial Agreement, with the aim of ensuring the optimal utilization of the State’s financial resources.

The discussions also addressed mechanisms for resuming stalled development projects and enhancing coordination among the relevant authorities to overcome implementation bottlenecks within the approved budget allocations. The participants emphasized the importance of accelerating the execution of development projects to advance economic development and improve the quality of life for citizens.
