H.E Mr. Saddek Omar ElKaber, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya met with a high-level team from the United States Federal Reserve in USA Washington on Wednesday,17th of April 2024, the meeting addressed the Enhancing existing cooperation, discussing certain inquiries and clarifications regarding financial transfers, procedures, due diligence requirements, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing issues, and building human capacity in relevant fields. Additionally, highlights the efforts of the Central Bank of Libya in enhancing compliance measures, particularly those related to external financial transfers, and expressing continued support from the Federal Reserve for prospects of cooperation and development with the Central Bank of Libya across all areas that serve the interests of both parties.
