H.E Mr. Saddek Omar ElKaber, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, met in December 21st 2023 with Mr. Richard Norland the US Special Envoy for Libya, and Mr. Jeremy Brent Chargé d'affaires of the US Embassy to Libya and Ms. Georgette Janeon Assistant Secretary-General for Coordentation of Humanitarian Affaris in the UNSMIL, to discuss efforts of Derna reconstruction and affected areas, and to cooperate with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and PRAGMA to improve the efficiency of CBL departments. Along with following up the expenditures and revenues for 2023 and cooperate with relevant authorities to prepare the 2024 budget, address fuel subsidies, rationalize spending and continue transparency and disclosure efforts.
