|

The automation of the healthcare sector and the advancement of digital transformation across medical institutions were the key topics of discussion during the meeting held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, between H.E. Mr. Naji Mohammed Issa, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, and Dr. Mohamed Al-Ghouj, Acting Minister of Health.

The meeting emphasized the importance of providing electronic points of sale (POS) in all clinics and hospitals, and expanding electronic payment services for citizens. These efforts aim to streamline procedures and reduce reliance on paper based and cash transactions, in line with the Central Bank of Libya’s vision of involving Libyan institutions in implementing the National Financial Inclusion Strategy.
