Governor of the Central Bank of Libya discusses with the Head of the Facilities and Installations Security Authority the challenges of transporting currency between regions
H.E. Naji Mohammed Issa, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, met, with Major General Fawzi Ghaith, Head of the Facilities and Installations Security Authority, to discuss and review the key observations and challenges facing the Authority related to currency transportation operations between regions, in the presence of a number of relevant departments on Tuesday 16/12/2025.
During the meeting, the Head of the Authority presented a range of problems and constraints hindering the transportation of currency, along with their negative repercussions most notably the failure to deliver cash liquidity on time to the branches of commercial banks across all regions of Libya in accordance with the Central Bank of Libya’s plan.
For his part, the Governor listened to these observations, emphasizing the importance of the role played by the Facilities and Installations Security Authority in protecting vital facilities and ensuring the smooth flow of financial operations. He stressed the need to develop practical and sustainable solutions in coordination with the relevant departments, namely the Banking and Cash Supervision Department, the Issuance Department, and the Administrative Affairs Department, in a manner that contributes to enhancing financial stability and ensuring the uninterrupted provision of services to citizens.
