Governor of the Central Bank of Libya meets with the Chairman of National Oil Corporation
H.E. Mr. Naji Mohammed Issa, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, meets with the Chairman of National Oil Corporation, Engineer Masoud Suleiman. The meeting comes as part of ongoing cooperation and coordination between the two institutions to support the oil sector, which is considered the main source of national income and a cornerstone of the Libyan economy On Tuesday, June 17, 2025 in Tripoli.
The meeting was dedicated to discussing financial arrangements in support of the Corporation’s plans to increase oil production and to address the main challenges hindering the implementation of its expansion strategies particularly the need to secure the financial resources necessary for these efforts, the Governor reaffirmed the Central Bank’s commitment to facilitating access to financial resources through banking and financial institutions. This reflects the Bank’s dedication to enabling the Corporation to carry out its plans amid complex economic and investment conditions, while also emphasizing the importance of ensuring the regular supply of fuel through the Corporation’s accounts at the Central Bank of Libya.
Both parties underlined the importance of holding regular meetings to monitor progress in increasing oil production.
