Governor of the Central Bank of Libya meets with the President of the Administrative Control Authority

H.E. Naji Mohammed Issa, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, met with Mr. Abdullah Qaderboh, President of the Administrative Control Authority, in the presence of several directors and heads of departments and offices from both parties On Monday, April 28, 2025.

During the meeting, the general economic situation of the country was discussed, and views were exchanged regarding the Central Bank of Libya's vision for overcoming the country's economic crisis. This included a review of macroeconomic indicators, the proposed package of economic reforms, and the Administrative Control Authority’s 53rd Annual Report for the year 2023, along with its included financial and administrative statistics, data, and observations.

The Governor emphasized the crucial role of the Administrative Control Authority in monitoring the state’s sectors, highlighting its essential contribution to supporting the implementation of the proposed reforms and measures in the monetary, fiscal, and trade policy fields.

For his part, the President of the Authority affirmed the Authority’s full readiness to support the efforts of the Central Bank of Libya in moving forward with the implementation of the Bank’s vision, particularly regarding the launch of the proposed package of economic reforms, such as the unification of government spending and other measures aimed at enhancing the citizen’s access to high-quality basic services.

In conclusion, both parties agreed on the necessity of forming a joint working team between the Bank and the Authority to implement the recommendations and outcomes of today’s meeting.

The meeting also witnessed the ceremonial handover of the Authority’s 53rd Annual Report for the year 2023.
