H.E Mr. Saddek Omar ElKaber, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, met with a high-level delegation from the French Central Bank in USA Washington on Thursday, 18th of April 2024. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the global economic situation, existing cooperation relations, and ways to enhance collaboration between the two banks. The discussion also covered the efforts made by the Central Bank of Libya in areas such as compliance, risk management, anti-money laundering, and counter-terrorism financing. Additionally, they explored digital advancements and electronic payment systems, besides various investment opportunities. This meeting is an extension of consultative meetings with the French Central Bank, with the most recent one having taken place in March.
