H.E Mr. Saddek Omar ElKaber, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, met with the Libyan American Businessmen Association (USLBA) in USA Washington, on Monday, 15th of April , 2024 in attendance of major American companies in the fields of oil, gas, financial transfers, electronic payments, telecommunications, health, and consulting. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the available opportunities for American companies to operate in Libya they also urged the U.S. government to encourage American companies to work in Libya across various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, communications, health, education, services, oil, gas, and renewable energies. The pivotal role of the Central Bank of Libya and the banking sector in supporting this direction and providing the regulatory environment and infrastructure for banking, financial services, and electronic payments was emphasized.
