Governor of the Central Bank of Libya Discusses the Strategy for Developing Electronic Payment Services

H.E Naji Mohammed Issa, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, held a meeting with directors of relevant departments at CBL on Wednesday, 6th of November, 2024. This meeting was to support electronic payment operations and address the challenges facing developing these services as part of the bank's efforts. The discussion focused on the bank’s strategy for enhancing electronic payment services and overcoming obstacles faced by electronic payment companies. An agreement was reached to transfer the management and operation of the National Switch from Moamalat Company to the Central Bank of Libya, along with the development of instant payment projects (LY Pay) and (One Pay) to improve the quality and standards of electronic services with the highest international standards.
