Governor of the Central Bank of Libya made a phone call with Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Acting Head of Mission to Libya

The increasing threats to the security and safety of the Central Bank, its employees, and its systems, in addition to the necessity of maintaining the stability of the Central Bank and its continued vital role in preserving the financial sustainability of the state, were the main topics discussed during a phone call between H.E. Mr. Saddek Omar ElKaber, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, and Ms. Stephanie Khoury, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Acting Head of the Mission in Libya, on Monday,12th of August, 2024. Ms. Khoury expressed the United Nations’ full support for the Central Bank of Libya and its role in maintaining financial and economic stability and safeguarding the country’s resources.
