Naji Issa Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Participates in the 52nd Meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC)

On Friday, October 17, 2025, H.E. Naji Mohammed Issa, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, participated in the closed session of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), held as part of the 2025 Annual Meetings at the headquarters of the International Monetary Fund in Washington.

The meeting focused on the importance of central bank independence amid global developments and their ability to achieve price stability and credibility in monetary policy by remaining insulated from political and fiscal pressures.

The Committee intends to adopt sound policies aimed at strengthening confidence, enhancing resilience, and safeguarding macroeconomic and financial stability, while continuing joint efforts to address global challenges.
