The Coverage Committee of the Central Bank of Libya held a meeting with managers of commercial banks at the Supervision Department of the Central Bank of Libya on last Thursday morning the 9th of June 2016. The meeting was a follow up on reviewing a number of procedures concerning deposits in commercial banks to provide liquidity:
1 .The approvals granted by the Central Bank of Libya to cover the expenses of the foreign exchange (Credit, Transfers, electronic cards and documents under collection) in exchange for performing these operations of deposit with the Libyan Dinar.
2. Discussed some of the problems facing the suppliers and companies and possible short term solutions, including flexibility in the procedures between traders and the banking sector to encourage deposits.
