The Libyan 20-dinar banknote printed on polymer in 2025 has won the award for the Best Banknote Designed and Printed in 2025. This achievement took place during the “High-Security Printing” Forum, held at the European, Middle Eastern, and African levels in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, from February 9 to 11.

This award demonstrates the Central Bank of Libya’s commitment to issuing a national currency with high technical standards, incorporating advanced security features that make counterfeiting difficult, in addition to strong aesthetic design elements that enabled the banknote to win this prestigious prize.
