H.E. Mr. Naji Mohammed Issa, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, held a meeting with Dr. Khaled Al-Mabrouk Abdullah, Minister of Finance of the Government of National Unity, in the presence of Major General Mousa Ali Mohamed, Acting Director General of the Customs Authority, along with a number of directors from the relevant departments of both sides on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The meeting discussed steps to activate the “Your instant Salary” system recently launched by the Central Bank of Libya in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance. This initiative aims to enhance disbursement efficiency and transparency in resource management, ensuring that salaries and entitlements reach beneficiaries directly into their accounts more quickly and with the highest levels of security.

The discussions also covered ways to strengthen the financial tracking system and reviewed the latest measures taken to implement the Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system, which aims to register shipment details before their arrival in the importing country. This system facilitates customs clearance procedures, accelerates the movement of goods, improves supply chain efficiency, and plays a vital role in meeting international requirements in combating money laundering and reducing currency smuggling.

The Governor and the Minister of Finance affirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts to support digital transformation, develop financial services, and enhance transparency and efficiency in resource management, in a manner that positively impacts the national economy.
